A couple things going on:
This coming MONDAY the 26th of March at 7pm,
Tape Projects presents the second of their monthly series of Artist Talks at Forepaw.
This time around it's Eamon Sprod, who, in his very own words, "is a Melbourne based sound artist working under the name TARAB, examining the interplay of field recordings and sounds generated from found objects. His work explores the possibilities of personal chartings and
reactions to the urban environment, reveling in the decay and detritus to be found there."
If you're curious about Eamon and his work as TARAB, check out his
myspace for some sounds and images. TIME WELL SPENT, we say.
Then, the day after that, which is of course TUESDAY the 27th of March, it'll be time for TRAILS, our free monthly drawing thing. You know the drill: 6pm start until whenever, bring some pens or friends or whatever if you like, and we'll sit around and make sweet, sweet art and talk rubbish.
One thing has changed though: We can no longer afford to print up those lovely little booklets of everybody's pictures and give 'em away each month. Sorry. We just can't. So we ask that you sacrifice that extra beer on the night and give us a couple bucks or so for a copy, if you want one. We don't know exactly how much they'll be, but it'll just be enough to cover the the cost of printing, no more. This'll allow us to up the production values a bit, and also do larger print runs. It still costs nothing to come along and draw, of course. Ok? OK!
So, Monday at 7, Tuesday at 6. See you then.
