Some Stuff That We Do

Mercado

Mercado is our sort-of bimonthly artist market. The first few were a total hoot and the next one will be along soon.

Trails

Trails Forepaw‘s monthly drawing night/ publishing experiment just keeps getting better.

Tape Projects

Tape Projects are holding a series of artist talks at our place, usually on the last monday of every month. Check their site for info.

Run! You Beasts!

Run! You Beasts! This is the short film and video compilation DVD we helped Pip make in 2006. R!YB! II is now seeking submissions!

Summer Winds

Summer Winds are putting on monthly shows here from now on. Each night is a smorgasbord of artschool punk and herky-jerky hottness, with hand-picked performers from all over the country and beyond.

Head Muzak

Head Muzak was an interactive installation by Michael Prior that lived at Forepaw in March of this year. You can watch the little video we made and read the artists statement here.

Gang Festival

Gang Festival is an artist-led initiative celebrating the deep links between Indonesian and Australian community arts. Gang Festival takes its theme from the Indonesian word for alleyway — referring to small roads and particular social groupings; the space between more conventional roads and roles.

Nova is one half of TwinSista, a female hip hop outfit from East Java and the daughter of the guitarist from Indonesia's legendary rock band Suami.

Exi Agus Wijaya and Djuadi Suami are members of a collective in Java called Anakseribupulau — a community of artists and activists across Indonesia working against the destruction of the environment. Exi is a writer and musician while Djuadi's work ranges from performance art to wood carving.

Gangways is a feature-length documentary by Carli Leimbach that takes us to the Indonesian cities of Jakarta, Bandung and Jogyakarta, finally returning to Sydney. It follows the development of the creative relationships between Australian and Indonesian arts communities.

Artist Talk, Screening & Performance
7pm Friday
15th February
